Outstanding Chapters 2006 no award
|
|
The SSCS Outstanding Chapter Award is given annually to a chapter that has constantly shown outstanding leadership and initiative in organizing activities. The award is based on programs organized during the period of 1 July in a given year to 30 June of the following year and is presented during the week of the ISSCC. The award consists of a check for $1,000, to be used for chapter activities, and a Certificate of Recognition for display. The selection of the "Outstanding Chapter" is based on several factors detailed below.
Nominations for the Outstanding Chapter Award can be made by any SSCS, Ad Com, or Chapter committee member simply by completing the Outstanding Chapter Award Form on this website. Nominations need to be received by 30 September each year. The Chapters committee reviews and rank-orders all nominations based on the criteria above and recommends a nominee to the AdCom for approval by its voting members, usually during the summer meeting. A chapter cannot receive the Outstanding
Chapter Award more than once every three years. As a rule, one
award is granted each year, although the Chapters Committee has the discretionary power to recommend two awards in an
exceptional year or to forgo the presentation of an award if no qualified
candidate is available. Please submit your nomination by email
to Katherine Olstein, SSCS Administrator (k.olstein@ieee.org), or by fax,
